Dusseldorf The war in Ukraine caused a drastic change in mood on the stock exchanges. An analysis by the Handelsblatt of data from the financial service Refinitiv shows how strong the effect is: According to this, analysts have lowered their price forecasts for more than half of German shares since the beginning of the year – on average by three percent, at the top by almost 60 percent.

The evaluation refers to the 160 stocks that were listed in the leading index Dax, the small-cap index MDax or the small-cap index SDax at the beginning of the year. The Dax climber Daimler Truck, for example, is not included because it was not listed in any of the three indices at the time.

Some of the results of the evaluation are curious – for example at Delivery Hero. The market environment for the loss-making food delivery service has changed as a result of rising interest rates, and the share has lost more than 60 percent in value since the beginning of the year.
