Apple’s voice assistant Siri, which can be performed with voice commands ‘rating’ lost its function. This feature allows tracks in the Apple Music app to be rated 1 to 5 stars. In addition, the songs you rate are instantly saved to your library. Thus, you can easily find your music by filtering the library according to the score you give.
Tap Siri while listening to music on iPhone and iPad “Hey Siri, this song [veya istediğiniz herhangi bir rakam] rate” command could be given. Then the assistant did it without any problems. However, according to user feedback, this ability of Siri no longer works.
Siri can’t rate music on iOS 15 and later
Feedback shared on Reddit and Apple Support forums indicates that the functionality is not available in iOS 15, iOS 15.1 and iOS 15.2. Instead of performing the request, Siri prompts the user. “I’m sorry, I’m afraid I can’t comply with your request.” He refuses by giving such an answer. However, songs in the Apple Music library can be rated manually.
The ability to rate songs with Siri in the Apple Music app first came to life with iOS 8. The function has worked flawlessly since then, allowing users to filter the items in the library based on their likes or dislikes. For example, you can rate the music that you enjoy listening to the most with 5 stars, and give 1 point to the ones you listen to less.
It is not yet clear whether Apple has intentionally removed the music rating feature with Siri or whether this is simply an app-related error. Users have been saying on the Apple Support forums since November that the feature isn’t working. However, there has been no statement from the company’s front regarding the issue yet.
not fixed with iOS 15.2
On the other hand, it was estimated that the feature was caused by the incompatibility between Siri and Apple Music, and this would be fixed with the new version of iOS. Unfortunately, the expectations were in vain. Launched on December 13 iOS 15.2 and also in iPadOS 15.2 with Siri music rating function is not working.
