The electric passenger plane named ‘Alice’, developed by Washington-based Eviation, has completed its maiden flight. However, the aircraft does not yet contain technologies that may be suitable for commercial use.

Today, there has been a development that will make a name for itself in the future. For the first time in the world, an electric passenger plane has completed its maiden flight.

The ‘Alice’ aircraft, which is still a prototype and manufactured by Washington-based Eviation, took off from Washington Grant County International Airport at 7:10 am local time yesterday. Aeroplane, only flew 8 minutesreached an altitude of 3,500 feet (1,066 meters). The purpose of the flight was to collect data for the development of the aircraft’s design.
Of course, on this first flight, there were no passengers on board. However, according to the shared information, when Alice was approved by the Federal Aviation Administration to carry passengers, As a 9 or 6 seat luxury passenger plane or as an electric cargo plane will serve. However, if Alice manages to get this approval, it will be the first all-electric passenger plane.
On the other hand, Eviation shared that it still takes years of test flights for Alice to get approval. The biggest obstacle in front of this aircraft was seen as battery technology. Greg Davis, CEO of the company, said, “It looks like we’ll have pretty decent battery technology in five years.” he said.
