AMD ushered in the age of artificial intelligence with its new AI processors!

At Computex 2024, AMD introduced the next generation Ryzen AI 300 series laptop processors. These new processors are specifically optimized for AI workloads and are a rebrand of the Ryzen 9 chips. AMD aims to take a big step in the world of artificial intelligence with these processors. So what kind of innovations do we expect? Here are the details…

The new Ryzen AI 300 series processors are built on AMD’s latest architectures. It supports high-performance artificial intelligence operations with its neural processing unit (NPU) called XDNA2. The integrated graphics unit (iGPU) with RDNA 3.5 architecture comes with 16 processing units, which means a significant increase in graphics performance. Zen 5 architecture is used for general processing power, which maximizes the performance and efficiency of new generation processors.

The first two processors of the series were introduced as Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Ryzen AI 9 365. Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 has 12 cores and 24 threads. This processor, which can reach a maximum clock speed of 5.1GHz, is equipped with 36MB cache and Radeon 890M graphics unit. On the other hand, Ryzen AI 9 365 has 10 cores and 12 threads. This processor stands out with its 5.0GHz maximum clock speed, 34MB cache and Radeon 880M graphics unit.
