AMD Ryzen 9 7950X broke the record with 6.7 GHz!

Recently, we shared that the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor can run all its cores on 5 GHz and sees a 5.85 GHz boost frequency. Today, it accelerated to 6.7 GHz and captured the record in the history of the processor.

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X became the first processor to exceed the 50 thousand threshold in the Cinebench R23 test!

In the tests carried out a few weeks ago, we saw that the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor can go up to 5.85 GHz boost frequency, and although this value is low next to the Intel Core i9-13900K chip, which reaches 8 GHz, it is important because it can run all 16 cores stably at 5.1 GHz.

Of course, it was stated that the system had to stay below 50 degrees continuously in order to obtain these shared data. Considering that even standard processors can easily reach 70-80 degrees without overclocking, we see that this system needs a powerful liquid cooler.

According to the information received, NVIDIA is working on the PCIe version of a new 120 GB Hopper H100 graphics card.

But contrary to popular belief, the work does not end here. According to the new Cinebench R23 test results released today, the Ryzen 9 7950X processor is first increased to 6.45 GHz, then up to 6.7 GHz. The test results at these speeds are 48,235 and 50,395, respectively.

Intel Core i9-13900K, which can go up to 8 GHz, got 40,616 points from this test. Of course, considering that the Core i9-12900K processor, which is its predecessor, scored 26 thousand 299 points, we can say that a significant progress has been made. But the test score of Ryzen 9 5950X, the predecessor of Ryzen 9 7950X, is 26 thousand 291. That is, Intel provides 1.5 times and AMD 2 times performance increase.
