AMD introduced the world’s fastest game processor Ryzen 7 5800X 3D!

AMD finally introduced its first processor using 3D V-Cache technology, the Ryzen 7 5800X 3D, at CES 2022. Ever since this new technology was announced at Computex 2021, fans have been eagerly awaiting its release.

Of course, many people were quite surprised that he appeared with the 7 family, not in the Ryzen 9 series. But the reason for this is that although the Ryzen 7 models use the same architecture, it surpasses the Ryzen 9s in terms of gaming performance. But this processor offers much more than this technology.

AMD introduced its Ryzen 6000 series mobile processors!

AMD presented its new technologies to users at the event it held hours before the CES 2022 fair. Here are the details…

Ryzen 7 5800X 3D specs

The Ryzen 7 5800X 3D chip now holds the title of the world’s fastest game processor, according to AMD’s claims. Compared to the Ryzen 9 5900X, it is stated that the Ryzen 5800X 3D can offer up to 15 percent higher performance in games at 1080p. Of course, this difference will shrink at higher resolutions. However, it was appreciated that the company gained such a performance increase in a processor released in 2020.

We can say that AMD is launching the Ryzen 7 5800X 3D with almost the same features. The processor, which consists of eight Zen 3 cores and 16 threads, comes with 32MB of L3 cache. Working at 3.4 GHz, the chip can go up to 4.5 GHz at boost. But the real thing is hiding in the 3D V-Cache. This technology allows AMD to add an additional 64MB of cache to the processor.

AMD showed off benchmarks against Intel’s Core i9-12900K, which it called the best gaming CPU when it was released. But the consensus is that Intel has to be lower on pricing if it really wants to be successful.

Of course, all these test results are shared by AMD. For this reason, it would be better to wait for 3rd parties to perform these tests in different games, conditions and devices before making a real decision. But this new 3D V-Cache technology also brought great hope.

Although the Ryzen 7 5800X 3D is a new processor, it is not designed for a new platform due to the technology inside. So it will work seamlessly with AM4 motherboards with 400 series or 500 series chipset. Of course, if you plan to overclock, you should be ready to see 105W, which is the same power consumption as the Ryzen 7 5800X.

AMD says the processor will launch in the spring. However, no exact date, day or month information was given. Also, its pricing is not yet known. For this reason, many people think that it will be more expensive than the Ryzen 7 5800X. But Ryzen 9 will fall below the 5900X.
