Berlin Are you single and earn more than 3850 euros net per month? Congratulations. Then you are one of the top earners in Germany. This is shown by a new study by the German Economic Institute (IW), in which the researchers precisely measured the distribution of income in Germany.
You can use the interactive graphic below to find out whether your income is in the lower or upper half of the income bracket or even among the top earners.
For example, with a net household income of 4,000 euros a month, the tool tells users what percentage of Germans are richer and what percentage are poorer. And from what monthly net income you would be at risk of poverty.
