The US has accused Russia of lying for being behind the drone attack on the Kremlin attributed to Ukraine. US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said this is wrong in an interview with MSNBC. “I can assure you that the United States was not involved. Whatever it was, we were not involved. We had nothing to do with it.”
It is still unclear what exactly happened in the Kremlin in Moscow, says Kirby. The US did not encourage Ukraine to attack outside its own borders, nor did it allow the country to do so. Russia has accused the US of being behind an attack on the Kremlin aimed at killing President Vladimir Putin. Referring to the Russian presidential spokesman, Kirby says, “Dmitry Peskov is simply lying here.”
