Afghanistan: Foreign Office brings 329 people from Kabul – News Abroad

On Wednesday, 329 German citizens and local workers with their families were flown out of Afghanistan. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

Associated with this was thanks to the Qatar Foreign Ministry for their support. Those who were flown out were first brought to the Qatari capital Doha.

According to the information, it was the first charter flight to take off directly from Kabul since the end of the international evacuation operation. Before that, there had already been flights from Islamabad, for example.

When the Bundeswehr and other German institutions withdrew, thousands of local aid workers were left behind in the country. Many of them fear acts of revenge by the radical Islamic Taliban now ruling the country.
