Adobe introduced its new Content Authenticity tool that will protect artists from artificial intelligence threats. Digital works will be secured.

Adobe, Protecting artists’ works from artificial intelligence effects A new free web application for Announced Content Authenticity. Content Authenticity allows content creators to add attribution and “education” tags to image, video, and audio files.

New Content Authenticity web appserves as an expanded version of Adobe’s Content Credentials platform. Through this platform, users can easily add attribution data to their digital works and prevent their content from being used by artificial intelligence models.

Available in free beta in 2025

The app provides strong protection using digital fingerprinting, invisible watermarking, and cryptographic metadata to protect creators’ works and identify who owns them. This new tool models Adobe’s Firefly AI, Photoshop, Lightroom and other Integrated with Creative Cloud applications will be. Most importantly, it will allow creators to work with any image, video or audio file, not just Adobe’s tools.

Adobe’s models are trained only with licensed or publicly available content, but these protections are designed to apply to other companies’ models as well.
