Adana, as you know: They sent kebabs to space!

Turkey has been continuing its space studies for a long time at a great pace. Finally, we succeeded in sending our Göktürk 5 satellite together with SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket, and immediately after, our domestic pocket satellite, which was a first for our country, out of the atmosphere.

After that, eyes were turned to the hard landing attempt on the Moon, which will take place in 2023. But the citizens of Adana, who had a quick hand, made an attempt. They tried to send kebabs into space. So was this experiment successful?

A first in history: Civilian astronauts have arrived at the International Space Station!

The team of 4 people sent to space by NASA as part of the space tourism project Ax-1 reached the International Space Station today.

Kaburgacı Yaşar Aydın sent his kebab into space with a helium balloon!

Yaşar Aydın, a tradesman from Adana and owner of Kaburgacı Yaşar Usta, tried to send his own patented pipe kebab into space, thanks to a device consisting of a heat-resistant styrofoam box and a balloon filled with helium gas, which he prepared with his group of 30 people.

Continuing to climb in the sky for about 3 hours, the balloon exploded in the stratosphere layer of the atmosphere. Then the kebab, the platform on which it was placed and the action camera mounted on it fell into the sea.

So technically, it could not go beyond our atmosphere, whose estimated limit is estimated to be 10 thousand kilometers from the earth. Therefore, it could not seize the title of the first kebab in space. But we can say that it is the kebab that rises to the top. If it is accepted into the capsule to be sent to the ISS or the Moon in the next attempt, it can also go into space.

If you wish, you can watch the moment of the pipe kebab going into space and falling into the sea via the link below.
