Dusseldorf, Frankfurt Despite all efforts in electromobility, Europe’s largest car manufacturer Volkswagen currently plays a role in almost no well-known sustainability fund. This is suggested by an analysis by the financial company Morningstar, which is available to the Handelsblatt. A total of 20 high-capital green ETFs from Europe were examined in the analysis (“Exchange Traded Fund”, exchange-traded index funds).

According to Morningstar, VW is not included in any of the ETFs examined. Research by the Handelsblatt on the funds shows that at least 14 of the funds do not contain VW shares at all, and at least three funds have an investment limit for VW or are gradually reducing the position. No information was available on the other funds. As a rule, funds do not officially comment on individual values.
