Starting the Birds with Broken Wings Quest in Cyberpunk 2077
The quest Birds with Broken Wings becomes available only after you have successfully finished the main quest, You Know My Name. After completing it, you’ll need to wait a full in-game day until Reed contacts you to meet him at his hideout beneath the bar known as The Moth. Begin your journey by teleporting to the fast travel point labeled “Longshore Stacks” and then proceed to take the elevator in the bar to connect with your FIA allies.
If desired, you can engage in conversations with Reed and Alex to delve deeper into their backstories. To participate in the briefing, collect the information shard situated on the table and follow Alex for further clarification. Your next task will be to locate the Charon Exotics location stations and hack their receivers. During your discussion, you can expedite the quest by selecting the options “How do these location stations work?” followed by “One station might not be enough.” However, ensure your Intelligence attribute is at level 10 to proceed with this shortcut.
Meeting Songbird: Timing is Key
Once you’ve wrapped up your discussion with Alex, exit the hideout and make your way to the first receiver until Songbird contacts you. She will initially reward you with three Relic points to allocate in the new Biopchip branch, then request that you meet her at night between 11 PM and 1 AM. To meet Songbird, navigate to the location marked by your GPS during the specified hours. If you find yourself outside this window, feel free to wait by accessing the game’s pause menu. After disclosing her true role in the unfolding events, she will solicit your assistance to obtain the neural matrix from under the noses of Hansen and your allies Reed and Alex. In return, she promises a ticket out of Night City and a solution to your Relic affliction.
Eventually, she will inquire about your motivations, offering you four possible responses:
- I understand you and I trust you.
- I want to survive, just like you.
- Both.
- I don’t trust you, but I don’t really have a choice.
Regardless of your answer, the outcome for the rest of the adventure remains unchanged, as the real pivotal choice will come later. However, your response will impact how Songbird perceives you, so choose wisely. After concluding your conversation with Songbird, call Reed to update him on your discussion and proceed to the main objective of this quest.
Accessing All Receivers at the Location Station
Your first destination is marked by your GPS (the Serenity Bible church in Pacifica, identifiable by its neon cross that may jog your memory of Evelyn’s story arc). To the left of the church, use your scan ability to easily locate the receiver, then navigate around the building to find some platforms that will allow you to reach the roof.
Once atop the roof, connect to the receiver, prompting a call from Alex who will realize that one receiver alone is insufficient. If your Intelligence attribute is at level 15, you can expedite the quest by hacking the second receiver remotely. Otherwise, continue to follow your GPS to reach her location.
