The Board of Advertisement shared its data for 2022. The total amount of fines for deceptive and misleading advertisements has been announced.

The Board of Advertisement shared the cumulative results of the decisions signed last year as part of the 15 March World Consumer Day. The Board announced that during 2022, it received administrative fines for 405 files due to misleading and deceptive advertisements.

The total value of the administrative fine for these 405 files, 42 million 329 thousand 745 TL declared as. It was also shared that a total of 1303 files were suspended. During the year 2022, 21 thousand 199 files were decided.

Work continues against companies that present themselves as authorized services:

In addition to advertisements, the board also plans to prevent companies that present themselves as “authorized services” and provide services, although they are not authorized. Activities related to this continue through the “Service Information System” prepared for citizens.
