The billionaire’s response came shortly after McDonald’s posted about an announcement scheduled for February 13. Even though Musk only replied to the tweet with an emoji, his reply received a high level of engagement.
Crypto trader Cantering Clark, on the other hand, evaluated the recent interactions between McDonald’s and Musk as a potential bullish catalyst for Dogecoin and claimed that he opened a long position for the popular meme coin.

The trader was certainly not alone. Dogecoin gained almost 9%, outperforming other major cryptocurrencies as Bitcoin continues to go through a tough time in terms of price. Its rival, Shiba Inu, is also up more than 5% in the last 24 hours.
I will eat a happy meal on tv if @McDonalds accepts Dogecoin

Earlier, Elon Musk said that if the legendary fast-food giant accepts the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, he will eat a McDonald’s Happy Meal. An inspiration for humorous posts about crypto, McDonald’s said that Tesla would accept a non-existent cryptocurrency, Grimacecoin, in return. The response accidentally led to the creation of another meme coin on Binance Smart Chain.
