The crypto money industry is going through a very pessimistic period right now, and the leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies are experiencing serious declines.
Although the fall of the Bitcoin price has already put investors in a pessimistic mood, in addition, the users of a cryptocurrency exchange seem to be in a much worse situation.
LCX Cryptocurrency Exchange Hacked
Liechtenstein-based cryptocurrency exchange LCX, After the warning and tweets posted, they confirmed that they were hacked.
LCX confirmed that one of their hot wallets was hacked, and stated that they stopped all withdrawals and deposits.
The hack was first spotted by blockchain security firm PeckShield. The incident came to light when the ERC-20 tokens in the hot wallet of the LCX cryptocurrency exchange were transferred to an unknown and newly created Ethereum wallet.

After the PeckShield warning, the LCX cryptocurrency exchange also announced the situation on Twitter and reported that mostly ETH, USDC and LCX were stolen.

While sharing the attacker’s wallet address, it is stated that LCX lost a total of $6.8 million. In addition to the above tokens, the attackers also transferred small amounts of SAND, QNT, LINK, ENJ, and MKR.
The biggest hit is USDC with $3.4 million, followed by LCX with $2.2 million, and finally ETH with $500,000. LCX has not made a statement regarding the stolen funds at the moment.
