A patrol wanted to check the silver Ford Focus (with an unauthorized WND district number plate) on Monday around 11.30 p.m. in Königstrasse in Neunkirchen. The driver ignored the stop signs, sped off and endangered several drivers by overtaking.
Route: Westspange in the direction of B 41 in Neunkirchen, L125 (Friedrichsthal-Bildstock locality), “Erkershöhe” (Merchweiler locality), A8 in the direction of Luxembourg to the Saarlouis motorway triangle, Dillingen junction (construction site area). After about 30 minutes, the Ford slammed into the guardrail at the Rehlingen junction and was completely destroyed in the process.
The three slightly injured occupants got out and ran. The officers discovered the 23-year-old driver (known to the police), his brother (21) and a 34-year-old from Kaiserslautern (Rhineland-Palatinate) after a short time in an embankment thanks to a service dog.
The trio came to the Saarlouis police station. The blood test revealed that the driver had been drunk behind the wheel. Besides, he doesn’t have a driver’s license! The police seized the license plates and let the gang go. Then the speeder began another crime: he took a taxi and left without paying.
