The owner of #3547, one of the items of the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, which is ranked 4th in the highest trading volume of all time according to DappRadar data, accidentally sold his NFT worth approximately $300,000 for $3,000.
The user, whose real name is Max, using the alias Maxnaut, said that he wanted to put his Bored Ape on sale for 75 ether, or about 300,000 dollars, but mistakenly sold one percent of his target price, 0.75 ether. The buyer immediately offered it for sale for 60 Ether.
Speaking to cnet.com about the issue, Max said:
“I don’t know how it happened. I think I had a loss of concentration. I was buying and selling lots of items every day and not paying much attention. I saw the error as soon as I clicked the mouse but someone sent a transaction with a transaction fee of over 8 ether so it was instantly sold. As a result of this mistake, 250 thousand dollars were lost.”
