SEC member Hester Peirce, nicknamed the “Crypto Mother,” a twitter follower asked if Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency after Bitcoin, is a security.
Peirce, who did not directly answer his follower’s question, said that instead of focusing on specific cryptocurrencies, it is necessary to think more generally.
Choosing to give an average answer, like SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, to questions on this subject, the crypto mom stated that she will try to create a logical and clear regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies.
Rather than analyzing the status of assets, I need to focus on building a sensible and clear regulatory framework for crypto.

Although William Hinman, one of the former SEC officials, stated in a speech he made in 2018 that Ethereum is not a security, nowadays the SEC prefers to stay away from talking about these issues.
Hester Peirce, known for her support for cryptocurrencies for years, stated in her previous speeches that the SEC is warm to crypto money regulations and thinks that there should be definite and clear regulations in this area.
Also, the litigation between the SEC and Ripple over whether XRP is a security has been going on for a long time.
