The Photo of the Landing Point on the Moon was Shared

Aiming for humanity to set foot on the Moon again after 1972. Artemis The mission program began in November of last year. While the third mission that will carry humans to the Moon is planned to be carried out in 2025, preparations for this mission are of course continuing at full speed.

This image, taken by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter vehicle, is located near the Moon’s South Pole. Malapert crater is showing. Malapert is known as one of the largest and oldest impact craters on the lunar surface. The crater is thought to have formed 4 billion years ago.

So why this crater and not another spot?

What distinguishes the Malapert crater from the rest of the Moon’s surface lies in its geological features. in the region steep slopes, high peaks and rocky ground exists.

Why are these regions all at the Moon’s South Pole?

Many factors play a role in NASA’s focus on the south of the Moon. The most prominent of these factors is that this region has not been discovered before. Astronauts will land the region is always in the shade and it is suspected that there may be ice in the craters due to the lack of sunlight.
