Tesla, the CEO of Elon Musk and the majority shares, played a big role in the increase in the market volume of electric cars and the awareness of these vehicles in the world. However, after the transformation of European and Chinese brands, a fierce competition environment emerged.
Although Tesla is sold by import method in our country, it will officially enter the domestic market this year. The doors of the electric car market, which has a record growth of 168 percent in Turkey, are open to everyone for now. However, since European and Chinese electric vehicles have already started to dominate the market, there will be much tighter competition in 2023 compared to the USA and Europe.

When we look at the list of the best-selling electric cars in Turkey in 2022, announced by the Turkish Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Association, we see that BMW is by far the leader with 2 thousand 193 units.
It is followed by Mercedes Benz with 1559 units, Renault with 1155 units and Skywell with 1150 units. Of course, these numbers belong to total electric car sales. When we look at the model basis, we encounter a slightly different list. Here are the best-selling electric models:
