People take longer vacations. The prospect of having to spend a lot of money on heating the home and hot water in winter seems to be fueling this trend.
“The demand for long-term vacations has increased,” reports Aage Dünhaupt, spokesman for Tui Germany. On the one hand, more people would combine vacation and work, the so-called workation. On the other hand, destinations such as Turkey or Egypt have opened up to long-term holidaymakers this winter with very reasonable prices.
