7 European Countries Announced That They Will Not Accept Passengers From Turkey

The rapid increase in the number of cases in Turkey and around the world in recent days has brought new measures with it. In this context, 7 European countries announced that they will not accept passengers from Turkey.

While the number of coronavirus cases in Turkey has been around 20 thousand for a long time and has decreased to 16 thousand in recent days, there has been a significant increase in the number of cases, especially in the last 2 days. The number of cases, which was 20 thousand 138 on 26 December, exceeded 26 thousand the next day, 32 thousand on 28 December and 36 thousand on 29 December. Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant the other day. in the number of cases entered a rapid increase trend explained.

Today, there has been a development in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation as a result of the increase in cases in Turkey and in the world. The Directorate has updated the country entry table due to the Omicron variant. With this update, the conditions for entry to many countries, especially European countries, have been changed. On the other hand, in line with the decisions taken due to the Omicron variant, travel to 7 European countries was prevented.

It will not be possible to enter 7 European countries:

According to the statement Netherlands, Croatia, Spain, Iceland, Switzerland and Italyannounced that it will not accept passengers from Turkey. It was stated that Turkish passengers will not be accepted to Luxembourg until 31 December. On the other hand, it was stated that passengers who want to travel from Turkey to Sweden will be able to enter the country if they present a vaccination card.

With the update, changes were made to the entry conditions for some countries. Accordingly, passengers traveling from Turkey to Iraq will comply with the 14-day quarantine rules. It was also stated that passengers who are not vaccinated or who do not have a PCR test result before 72 hours at the most will not be allowed to enter Portugal.
