Turkcell held a remarkable 5G demo demonstration within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2024 held in Adana this year. It was implemented by controlling an excavator located in Kocaeli-Gebze live from Turkcell’s 5G stand in Adana, 667 kilometers away.
This technology demonstration showcased how 5G is transforming low latency and machine-to-machine communications. With this event, Turkcell once again demonstrated the point it has reached in the field of technology and its contributions to Turkey’s digital transformation.

This successful demonstration, held on the opening day of TEKNOFEST, demonstrated the speed, capacity and efficiency offered by 5G. Thanks to the low latency of 5G, the commands given from Adana instantly reached the excavator in Gebze and the machines were controlled without any problems.

Hepsiburada takes the stage with artificial intelligence at TEKNOFEST!
Hepsiburada will participate in TEKNOFEST 2024, the world’s largest aviation, space and technology festival, which will be held in Adana.
Turkcell’s 5G infrastructure and domestic technology cooperation were one of the most important factors in the success of the demonstration. This demonstration was held in the open-air laboratory located on the TÜBİTAK campus in Gebze. The test environment was set up to examine how autonomous and connected work machines perform in real field conditions.
In addition, the 5G core network used by Turkcell in this demo demonstration was developed by i2i Systems, a domestic technology company. Dr. In his statement as Turkcell’s General Manager, Ali Taha Koç emphasized how critical the potential offered by 5G technology is for Turkey’s digital future.
