57 percent of Germans for 2G rules for gastronomy and events – Cyprus and Algarve are no longer high-risk areas

The chairwoman of the education union GEW, Maike Finnern, warns of renewed school and daycare closings due to the corona pandemic in autumn and winter. “Politicians now have to do everything to ensure that we don’t have a winter like last year,” she told the online magazine “Business Insider”. The current course is the wrong one and the measures for schools are too hesitant. The main problem is that there is still a lack of comprehensive PCR tests in schools. Too many schools still rely on the usual rapid tests, but the result is often not precise enough.

Instead of discussing prevention, the health ministers of the federal states limited the quarantine in daycare centers and schools to a few people. However, a mix of measures consisting of PCR tests, air filters and more personnel is required. Otherwise one could not hold on to face-to-face lessons, as promised by the health ministers.
