Dramatic for the New York Jets!
After Zach Wilson (22 / missed the last game), the number one quarterback, Mike White (26), the number two quarterback, was injured early in the NFL Monday Night game. Josh Johnson (35), number three quarterback, has to step in – and cannot prevent the heavy defeat at the Indianapolis Colts. 30:45!
The Colts now have four wins and five losses, the Jets two wins and six bankruptcies.
Dream start for the Colts! Running back Nyheim Hines marches with the egg – even runs into teammate Ryan Kelly. But that can’t stop him. We continue towards the end zone. Touchdown! Plus extra point. 7: 0!
Then White, who superbly replaced Wilson in the previous game, strikes! His passport flies to Elijah Moore. Touchdown, extra point. 7: 7.
Oh no! White needs to be dealt on the outside line. A bandage is placed on his wrist. That would be a hard blow for the Jets if after starting playmaker Zach Wilson (knee injury) White would also be out.
Dramatic: White grimaces in pain during throwing exercises.
While the jets tremble for White, the Colts manage the next touchdown! Jonathan Taylor marches into the end zone. The egg also sails to the extra point between the bars. 14: 7!
Then it is certain: White can no longer! Josh Johnson, No. 3 quarterback, has to go in. Dramatic …
Johnson is knocked to the ground in his second action. The third action then succeeds – with a trick play. Shortly afterwards the egg is gone after strong Colts defense.
Now there’s a beating for the jets! Jack Doyle pounds for the next touchdown! Even the kick is right. 21: 7!
A field goal brings the jets to 10:21.
Then the Colts again! Watch out for Michael Pittmann. Captured! But the scene is a little unclear. The video referee intervenes – and decides on touchdown! With Kick it’s now 28:10.
Incidentally, White is still standing on the sidelines in full gear. With a frustrated expression.
And the wild ride goes on! Pass Danny Pinter in the end zone – the next Colts touchdown. The boy is completely free! With a kick, the hosts extend their lead to 35:10.
It gets even harder for the jets! Jonathan Taylor runs a 78-yard touchdown. Plus kick. 42:10!
Cosmetic results for the jets! Touchdown from Elijah Moore. Instead of a kick, there is a two-point conversion. But it doesn’t work! 16:42 from New York’s point of view. Ryan Griffin adds another touchdown. With kick it’s now only 23:42.
With a field goal, the Colts extend their lead to 45:23.
For the Jets, Ty Johnson jumps into the end zone. Kick inside too. Only 30:45 left. Just because the Colts are already in their minds at the end of the day …
