These 30 personalities already have top positions in large German companies. But you could still climb the career ladder.

Dusseldorf The shortage of skilled workers has also reached the management level. Figures from the Personnel Market Research Index show: From January to September, a third more managerial positions were advertised than in the same period of the previous year.

At the same time, according to the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), only 14 percent of all employees can imagine becoming a manager in the coming years. Driven by the corona pandemic and other crises of our time, priorities have shifted significantly.

The Handelsblatt therefore looked for – and found: 30 top candidates for promotion to the top tier of management in German business. Who are you? What drives you?

You are no older than your mid-40s, diverse and have already held various posts and positions, at home and abroad, in functional and staff positions, and have often proven yourself in future fields such as digitization and sustainability. They are more team players than lone wolves.
