What does the new Mercedes-Benz GLC offer?

The new GLC is available as a hybrid only rechargeable hybrid or with an integrated starter generator with 48-volt support. Engine options consist of the current 4-cylinder FAME engine family. Four of these engines have a semi-hybrid system that supports the engine at lower revs with an integrated second generation starter generator (ISG).

The other three engines are fully hybrid, offering 100 kW of additional electric power and an electric range of over 100 kilometers. Supporting the engine, the 48-Volt ISG provides significant fuel savings with its filtration, additional support or recovery functions.

Thanks to the ISG, the engine runs very quickly and comfortably. Thus, the start-stop function is almost not detected by the driver. Rechargeable hybrid versions; With 100 kW of power, 440 Nm of torque and more than 100 kilometers of electric driving range (WLTP), it allows fully electric driving in daily use.

The continuously driven electric motor provides fully electric driving at speeds up to 140 km/h. The high-voltage battery developed by Mercedes-Benz has a total capacity of 31.2 kWh. The completely empty battery can be charged in approximately 30 minutes with the optional 60 kW DC charger. Three-phase charging with Wallbox can be used in household AC mains with 11 kW charger (depending on the market) offered as standard.
