Dusseldorf The home office requirement is passé. Despite this, working from home remains very popular. Almost a quarter of the employees in Germany are currently working at least partly in the home office, according to a recent survey by the Ifo Institute.
The rate is particularly high in the IT sector: around 72 percent of employees use the opportunity to work from home. And with a good salary. For example, the median salary of software architects is 82,500 euros gross per year, according to an analysis by the online job exchange Indeed.
But if you are looking for a well-paid home office job, you do not necessarily have to work in IT. “What is remarkable about our analysis is that the tech jobs that everyone expects to be done primarily in the home office are not in the top spots,” says labor market expert Annina Hering from Indeed.
