Dusseldorf The building sector is considered one of the biggest climate sinners in Germany. Around 30 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions are produced here – mostly through heating. According to the German Energy Agency, around 2,500 buildings would have to be energetically renovated every day in order to become greenhouse gas-neutral by 2050 and to achieve the climate targets set.
Not only sustainable construction, but also demographic change, increased construction costs and digitization are changing the construction industry – and thus also the demands on employees. Modeling software simplifies construction planning and allows parts of a house to be more prefabricated and only need to be shipped to the construction site. Sensors and intelligent control mechanisms are installed in the smart home of the future, for example to regulate the heating or the light.
