Ten days ago the brother of the world champion suffered a concussion during the game at MSV Duisburg (1: 1).
His club, third division 1. FC Kaiserslautern, wrote on Twitter: “From now on, our number 24 continues with special protection for the head. Until this is properly made, there is a rugby helmet as Plan B. “
After a head crash, now with a helmet!
The clash in the Duisburg game was unfortunately not the first, because Götze had injured his head three times in the past few months. In mid-August, the defensive midfielder even had to spend a night in the intensive care unit when he suffered a hairline crack in his skull during the FCK game at Viktoria Berlin.
Let’s hope that the helmet will protect him from further serious head injuries …
